I keep trying to read Paper Towns with the intent to study the way John Green writes and how he sets up scenes and emotions. I started this book at about midnight. It is now almost 2, and I’m about 114 pages in. My eyes quickly flit from line to line trying to eat up every single scene.
While I have not fulfilled my original goal, I have learned about the beginning of this adventure, and my heart races along with Q’s.
And the the line quoted above…I instantly melted—either that or I’m super hungry and about to faint…completely plausible. There is such a beautiful sense of being at the edge of a cliff, ready to take the leap.
I hope with all my soul that Discovering Aurora captures the beauty that is coming-of-age and adventure as John Green has managed to already inspire only a third of the way through Paper Towns.
And to return to reading…
