Jane Friedman’s “Back to Basics: Writing a Novel Synopsis”

If you haven’t heard of Jane Friedman, you need to look her up ASAP. She’s a celebrated person within the literary agency. Earlier this year at the San Francisco Writers Conference, I had the pleasure of attending the luncheon where she was a keynote speaker. Plenty of words of wisdom from this amazing woman.

So what I’d love to share with you today is Jane Friedman’s Back to Basics: Writing a Novel Synopsis. Why? Because I’m about to start writing my synopsis.

Check it out and let me know what you think. If you have any other great synopsis articles, please feel free to share within the comments.

Let me share one more here because it has a nifty “fill in the blank” worksheet to help you build your synopsis. Check out Susan Dennard’s How to Write a 1-Page SynopsisIt’s pretty amazeballs.
